Maria Purvis is a Northwest Michigan native who boomeranged back to Traverse City in 2019. She currently works as 20Fathoms’ event manager, producing pitch competitions, lunch-and-learns, and networking sessions for the startup community. Her greatest joy comes from creating events that help entrepreneurs grow their businesses through new connections, learnings, and inspiration.
Maria’s background is in marketing, small business management, and law. She received her Bachelor’s degree in English and history from Tulane University and her Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School.
Maria enjoys finding the interpersonal connections that are a unique hallmark of a small community. Outside of work, Maria enjoys reading, yoga, knitting, and going for walks in the woods.
