A Northern Michigan native, Bradley brings over 20 years of experience in entrepreneurship and ecosystem building across North America. He began his journey with Startup Tucson and City Recess, in Arizona, before returning to Michigan in 2013 to establish CoWharf, Traverse City’s first coworking space, and launch the inaugural TC Startup Weekend in collaboration with Northwestern Michigan College and Techstars. In 2016, Bradley founded Beta Batch, the area’s first startup accelerator, which graduated Chompler, a local food delivery venture. In 2017, he joined Namastay, a hospitality tech company in Montreal, eventually leading their first U.S. office in Miami Beach. Bradley has also served as a startup mentor with WeWork Labs and the Maritime Blue Accelerator Program in Seattle. In 2020, he returned to Michigan to work with Northern Michigan Angels, now works as a Senior Program Manager with Spartan Innovations, supporting the state’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, founders, and investors.
The MSU Research Foundation’s venture creation entity – Spartan Innovations – drives entrepreneurs to develop their ideas, create business plans, and successfully launch high-tech startups.
SI has several support programs and services related to startups. Programs include the Conquer Accelerator programs, Entrepreneur-In-Residence, and Mentor-In-Residence programs. These programs provide fundamental resources entrepreneurs need to grow their venture.
Companies incubated through Spartan Innovation’s process have the opportunity to pitch to our venture funds, Red Cedar Ventures or Michigan Rise for further early-stage funding.
